Biography

Yehudit Oficyner was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 9 March 1949 and completed her official and Jewish high schools in the same city. She immigrated in Israel in 1969 and graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1973 obtaining the degree of B.A. in Philosophy and French Literature. Yehudit studied art mainly in Jerusalem with Israeli artists such as David Gerstein and Yitzhak Yamin. She learned also in the Avni Institute of Tel Aviv under the directions of Yshai Fish. In Argentina she studied with Pérez Celis, Jorge Dermigian, Julio Garaycochea and Juan Campodónico.

Today Yehudit Oficyner is a member of the Association of Artists in Petach Tikvah and the correspondent in Israel of the Plastic Arts Publication "OLEO Y MARMOL" issued in Buenos Aires in the Spanish language.
